Many EMM Producers in Guizhou Province Halt Production Due to Power Rationing

SHANGHAI, Sep. 20 (SMM) -- According to SMM sources, some EMM producers in Tongren region Guizhou province were force to halt production from yesterday to this morning due to power rationing from crackdown on energy conservation and emission reduction.

The National Development and Reform Commission released energy conservation and emission reduction target for various regions on September 17 and tasks assigned for Guizhou is ranked as the second highest level. On September 19th, Power Supply Bureau in Tongren region Guizhou province began to cut power supply at EMM producers, but specific standard for power rationing hasn’t defined clearly yet and consultations between involved authorities and companies are still underway. SMM will continue to keep close watch on power rationing in Guizhou province.
