Russia's zinc output increased 23.9% in January-August compared with January-August 2009, the state statistics committee reported Friday.
The committee doesn't give production figures in tons, only the percentages for comparison.
Zinc output in August increased 17.6% compared with August 2009 and increased 2.8% compared with July this year.
Refined copper output in January-August increased 10.7% on the year. Copper output in August increased 0.6% compared with August 2009 and fell 3.5% compared with July this year.
Lead output in January-August increased 26.8% compared with January-August 2009. Lead output in August fell 17.6% compared with August 2009 and increased 0.9% compared with July this year.
Nickel output in January-August increased 5.7% on the year. Nickel output in August increased 7.5% compared with August 2009 and increased 2.8% compared with July this year.
Primary aluminum output in January-August increased 0.8% on the year. Aluminum output in August increased 2.3% compared with August 2009 and fell 0.5% compared with July this year
