JAKARTA, Aug 06, 2010 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) -- PT Newmont Nusa Tenggara, or PTNNT, said Friday that a five-day work stoppage by some employees at its Batu Hijau copper and gold mine has ended.

The company said it has reached an agreement with the union on a dispute regarding overtime payment, which triggered the strike.

"We have returned to normal operations," Darren Hall, general manager of operations at the subsidiary of Newmont Mining Corp. (NEM), said in a written statement.

The company didn't mention the number of striking workers or the impact on its output.
