2010 June Zn Imports and Exports Data Analysis
SHANGHAI, July 26 (SMM) --
Zinc Concentrate:
According to China Customs, China's imports of zinc concentrate were 214 kt during June, down 4.46% MoM, and with YTD imports of 1.51 million mt, down 5.19% YoY. TC of both domestic and imported zinc concentrate has experienced sharp declines since June, which has resulted to some extent in tight supply of zinc concentrate.
Refined Zinc:
According to China Customs, China's imports of refined zinc were 21.7 kt during June, down 30% MoM, and with YTD imports of 144 kt, down 69.8% YoY. China's exports of refined zinc were 2,308 mt, down 45.7% MoM, and with YTD exports of 31.8 kt, up 444.09% YoY. The lower SHFE/LME zinc price ratio from mid-June was responsible for the month-on-month drop in refined zinc exports during June.
