DJ Western Areas: Flying Fox, Spotted Quoll Output Doubled In 4Q Vs 3Q

MELBOURNE, Jul 15 -- Western Areas NL (WSA.AU) said Thursday that nickel production at its Flying Fox and Spotted Quoll mines in Western Australia state doubled in the three months to June 30 compared with the previous quarter.

Western Areas said in a statement that combined production at the mines was 6,810 metric tons of nickel in the June quarter, up from 3,120 tons in the March quarter.

The company said it aimed to declared a final dividend for the 12 months to June 30, 2010.
