PARIS, Jul 14 -- French mining company Eramet SA (ERA.FR) said Tuesday that New Caledonian state-owned company Societe Territoriale Caledonienne de Participation Industrielle, or STCPI, has extended its share holding agreement over Nickel-SLN, Eramet's nickel unit in New Caledonia, until Dec. 31, 2011.

The agreement with STCPI, which is a minority investor in Nickel-SLN and holds a 4.1% stake in Eramet, was expected to end in September.

The two companies have also agreed to consider amending their pact to take account of the industrial, commercial and technological changes which have taken place at NickelSLN since the original agreement was signed.
