Philex: Shipped 4,972 Tons Copper Concentrates Last Week

MANILA, Jul 05, 2010 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) -- Philex Mining Corp. (PX.PH) said Monday it completed the shipment of 4,972 dry metric tons of copper concentrates last week.

The concentrates contained 9,591 troy ounces of gold, 2.68 million pounds of copper and 9,591 ounces of silver, the company said in a statement to the stock exchange. It didn't say where the shipment was headed.

The shipment's estimated value was PHP930 million ($19.9 million), consisting of PHP552 million of gold, PHP370 million of copper and PHP8 million of silver based on prevailing prices.

The company's copper concentrates are produced from its Padcal mine project in northern Philippines.
