Mexico's Cananea Mine May Restart In 6-7 Months - Minister

MUMBAI, Jul 01, 2010 (Dow Jones Commodities News via Comtex) -- State-run Hindustan Copper Ltd. (513599.BY) Thursday said it has lowered product prices for July by about 3.3% from June.
The company said it has provisionally priced its standard copper rods of eight millimeters in diameter at INR337,677 a metric ton for July, down from INR349,303/ton last month.
Copper rods of more than eight millimeters in diameter have been provisionally priced at INR338,671-INR341,158/ton, compared with INR350,283-INR352,734/ton in June.
The price of copper cathode full for July has been provisionally fixed at INR331,708/ton, lower than last month's INR343,422/ton.
The company didn't give any reason for lowering the prices.
The three-month copper prices on the London Metal Exchange were down 2% at $6,383/ton Thursday, as Chinese manufacturing data came in weaker than expected and due to concerns about the health of the global economy.
