Central Bank Sells 55b Yuan of One-Year Bills

BEIJING, Jun. 30 -- The People's Bank of China (PBOC), or the central bank, auctioned 55 billion yuan ($8.1 billion) of one-year bills at its regular open market operations Tuesday.

The yield of the one-year bill stood unchanged at 2.0929 percent compared with the central bank's last one-year bill issuance on June 8.

Some 144 billion yuan ($21 billion) of Chinese central bank bills and repurchase agreements are due to mature this week.
