China's Jilin Ji En Nickel In Refined Nickel Output Trials -Report

SHANGHAI, Jun. 10 -- Jilin Ji En Nickel Industry Co. (600432.SH) is conducting trial production at a refined nickel project, the China Business News reported on its website Thursday.

The project has an annual capacity of 5,000 tons of refined nickel, the report cited company president Wu Shu as saying at the company's 2009 earnings briefing.

The company is expected to start ferronickel production this month. Its domestic market share for the key product, nickel sulfate, is currently 40%, company board secretary Wang Xinglong was quoted as saying.

Ji En Nickel Industry is a subsidiary of China's second-largest nickel producer, the Jilin Horoc Nonferrous Metals Group.
