China's Motorbike Output for Apr Hits 2.65 mln Units

BEIJING, May 13 -- China produced 2.65 million motorbikes last month, 10.7% more than in the previous month and 23.47% more than in April of last year, and the motorbike sales volume swelled 8% month on month or 19.2% year on year to 2.55 million units, according to China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

In April, the country's output of two-wheel motorbikes was 2.44 million units and that of three-wheel motorbikes was 201,100 units. The sales volume of two-wheel motorbikes was 2.35 million units and that of three-wheel motorbikes was 199,800 units.

In the first four months of this year, China produced 9.16 million motorbikes and sold 9.11 million motorbikes. 

As of Apr. 30, the country's motorbike unsold stock was 713,500 units, up 16.2% or 99,500 units from a month earlier.
