China's Industrial Output up 17.8% in April

BEIJING, May 11 -- China's industrial output increased 17.8 percent year-on-year in April, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said today.

The rise is a 0.3 percentage point lower from March's increase of 18.1 percent year-on-year.

Industrial output in the first four months of this year went up 19.1 percent year-on-year, falling 0.5 percentage point from that in the first quarter, said the NBS.
