HANGZHOU, May 10 -- Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang Province, aims to realize around RMB 100 billion in output value in the clean-energy industry in 2015, according to the Hangzhou Municipal Economic Commission.

In 2015, the city will realize an output value of RMB 40 billion in the photovoltaic industry with an annual capacity totaling 2,000 MW, RMB 30 billion in the wind power industry and RMB 15 billion in the clean-energy battery industry.

The local government will adopt preferential policies and provide subsidies to attract more investors. In 2015, the city is expected to have between two and three clean-energy firms with an output value of RMB 10 billion each, from three to five firms with an output value of RMB 5 billion each and 15 to 20 firms with an output value of RMB 1 billion each. More than three clean-energy firms are expected to enter the capital market.

Last year, Hangzhou's output value in the clean-energy industry was RMB 10 billion, including RMB 3.5 billing in the PV industry and RMB 3 billion in the wind power industry. There were more than 140 firms running businesses in the clean-energy as of Dec. 31, 2009.

Reportedly, Hangzhou will build a large clean-energy industrial park, which will cover an area of 97,300 square meters, to boost the industry's development.
