






BEIJING, May 5 -- The combined output of the top ten nonferrous metals in China rose 38.66% year on year to 7.42 million metric tons in the first quarter of this year, according to the latest statistics released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The country's output of refined copper grew 17.04% year on year to 1.08 million metric tons in the first three months, while that of primary aluminum surged 52.82% from the same period of last year to 4.05 million metric tons,
China saw its zinc output increase 13.59% year on year to 837,800 metric tons in the first quarter and its lead output jump 37.38% year on year to 1.17 million metric tons.
In the month of March, the daily output of the ten nonferrous metals was 83,200 metric tons in total, 2.46% more than in the first two months of this year.
