Silicon Metal Export Prices Show Signs to Decline

SHANGHAI, May 5 (SMM) -- Silicon metal export market is mixed, with many inquiries and few transactions, and silicon metal prices showed signs to decline.

It is expected that #553 silicon metal FOB were between USD 2,250-2,300/mt, but mainstream traded prices were between USD 2,250-2,280/mt. Mainstream traded prices of #441 silicon metal FOB were between USD 2,310-2,350/mt. Overseas purchasers mainly adopted a wait-and-see attitude, while pessimistic sentiment from domestic traders was strong.
