SHANGHAI, Mar. 22 (SMM) -- According to sources from the working meeting of the Hunan province nonferrous metals industry held on March 15th, specific goals for structural adjustments of the province's nonferrous metals industry have been settled, with the proportion of deep processed nonferrous products expected to exceed 30% in 2010 and with total profits and taxes expected to reach RMB 10 billion.

Greater efforts will be made to strengthen processing and deep processing of traditional  products including tungsten, lead, zinc, bismuth, and antimony, while further accelerating intensive processing of copper, aluminum, titanium, and other rare earth metals, as well as extending the industrial supply chain, and improving the added value of products from Hunan province's nonferrous metals industry. The plan is to increase the proportion of deep processed products from 20% in 2009, to 30% in 2010, and to 50% within five years.
