Mar. 17 (Reuters) -- Emirates Aluminium, which currently produces 300,000 tonnes a day, expects to hit the 700,000 tonnes per year mark by December, its project director said on Tuesday.
Emal is a 50-50 joint venture between Dubai Aluminium Company Limited (Dubal) and Mubadala Development Company (Mubadala), Abu Dhabi's investment vehicle.
Asked when the state-owned producer will hit the 700,000 tpy mark, Yousuf Bastaki said: 'We expect to hit it by December.'
He was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a conference organized by London-based Meed.
