AVIC International and Changli Union to Industrialize Zinc-Air Battery

SHANGHAI, Mar. 16 -- AVIC International Holding (HK) Limited and Beijing Changli Union Energy Technology Company signed the zinc-air battery industrialization project in Beijing Research Center of Zinc-Air Battery on March 7th. According to the agreement, the two companies will jointly invest a total of RMB 500 million to achieve the development goal of “zinc-air battery industrialization” in the coming three years. The agreement will play a positive role in promoting the application of zinc-air battery-powered buses and electric vehicles in Beijing. 

According to experts, zinc-air battery is characterized by large capacity, high energy, steady voltage, long service life, stable performance, non-toxicity and harmlessness, no threat of explosion, rich resources, low costs, etc. and is an excellent material for energy storage. Zinc-air battery has a strong competitive advantage as a kind of new energy.
