Zambia Nickel Mine to Resume Production on March 26
SHANGHAI, Mar. 16 -- Maxwell Mwale, Minister of Zambia Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development, told that Zambia nickel mine will be resumed production on March 26th. The mine has already been acquired by Jinchuan Group Lo., Ltd.
Mwale told that President Rupiah Banda has been making efforts to ensure production resumption of this mine that was shut down in early 2009.
Jinchuan Group has acquired 70% stake of the project since 2009, has been working to resume production of the mine.
