WUHAN, Feb. 9 -- Hubei Electric Power Co recently signed cooperation agreements with the governments of Xiangfan and Suizhou, marking the start of the construction of electric-vehicle charging facilities in Hubei Province.

Reportedly, Hubei Electric Power will cooperate with municipal governments to implement the construction of electric-vehicle charging facilities in stages.

According to the plan, this year 16 large and medium-sized electric-vehicle charging stations will be built in Hubei, and 300 charging poles will be built in power-supply branches, government offices, public buildings and residential communities. The province will invest RMB 127 million in total.

The province will ensure that there is at least one charging station built in each county and key town in the next five years.
