India's NALCO Sells 30,000 mt of Alumina

SHANGHAI, Jan. 29 -- India's state-run National Aluminum Co Ltd (NALCO) sold 30,000 mt of alumina for USD 336.36/mt on a FOB basis, a company source said on January 28th.

The alumina, to be shipped in two batches in February, was purchased by a Swiss trader Glencore, the source said.

The tenders of NALCO, which serve as an international benchmark, last sold alumina at USD 347.85/mt on a FOB basis to Switzerland-based Alaska Metals in early January.
