






SHANGHAI, Jan. 13 (SMM) -- One senior official from Hindustan Copper Limited, India's third largest copper producer said on January 12th the company is expected to produce 18,000 mt of copper in this fiscal year ended March 31st.
As of March 2009, the company produced 30,000 mt of cathode copper.
One person, who declined to be named said the shutdown of Khetri smelter and water supply shortages at Malanjkhand mine during 2Q were the reason behind production declines.
During April and November 2009, output of cathode copper dropped by 59% to 8,931 mt compared with the same period last year.
