Jinchuan Group's Profits Halve in 2009
SHANGHAI, Jan. 5 -- Jinchuan Group Ltd., China's largest nickel producer, saw its profits plummet by 50 percent year-on-year to around RMB 2.1 billion ($307.57 million) in 2009, due to sluggish domestic metal product prices caused by the global economic downturn in the first half of last year, the company announced on Jan. 1.
