Imports:
Lead Concentrates:
According to China Customs, China's imports of lead concentrate were 109.1kt during May, down 2.5% MoM. YTD imports were 550kt, up 12.5% YoY. Imports were mainly from Peru, India, and Australia, while the proportion of imports from Russia has risen to 11% in total imports made during May.
Refined Lead:
According to China Customs, China's imports of refined lead were 25.4kt during May, down 30% MoM, with YTD imports 110kt, up 1901% YoY. Lead imports during May consisted mainly of previously ordered lead, so the volume of imported refined lead will continue to decline significantly during June.
