SHANGHAI, Jun. 26 (SMM) --
Lead Concentrates:
According to the China Non-ferrous Metals Industry Association (CNIA), China's output of lead concentrate was 112kt during May, up 29.9% MoM, with YTD output 395kt, down 0.87% YoY. Operating rates at domestic mines were up, as lead prices climbed to RMB 13,000/mt and as the weather improved. The YoY decline is also in line with current TC/RC levels.
Refined Lead:
According to CNIA, China's output of refined lead was 282.9kt during May, down 6.4% MoM, with YTD output 1.32 million mt, up 14.6% YoY. The MoM decline in refined lead output was due mainly to declining output of primary lead, but output at large and medium smelters reported no significant changes.
