2009 September Ni Output Data Analysis

SHANGHAI, Oct. 23 (SMM) --
Nickel Ore:
According to CNIA, China's output of nickel concentrate was 4,797mt, down 22.44% MoM, with YTD output of 62kt, up 23.86% YoY.  The MoM declines in nickel concentrate output were due mainly to Jinchuan Group.
Refined Nickel:
According to CNIA, China's output of refined nickel was 13.5kt during September, with YTD output 118kt, up 21.38% YoY. Jinchuan Group was still operating at full capaicty, so the growth in output was mainly attributed to the restart of idled capacity at other facilities.
