2009 August Ni Output Data Analysis

SHANGHAI, Sept. 25 (SMM) --
Nickel Ore:
According to CNIA, China's output of nickel concentrate was 6,185mt during August, up 27.21% MoM, with YTD output of 57.6kt, up 24.9% YoY. The MoM growth was mainly from Jinchuan Group.
Refined Nickel:
According to CNIA, China's output of refined nickel was 13.7kt during August, with YTD output of 104.7kt, up 19.62% YoY.  Jinchuan Group was still operating at full capacity, so the growth in output was mainly attributed to restarting of idle capacity at other producers.
