2009 June Ni Output Data Analysis

SHANGHAI, July 24 (SMM) --
Nickel Ore:
According to the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CNIA), China's output of nickel concentrate was 7,907mt during June, with YTD output of 46,022mt, up 32.38% YoY. The warm weather was favorable for mine operations in China's northwest area, which contributed to output growth. 
Refined Nickel:
According to CNIA, China's output of refined nickel was 14,271mt during June, up 9.42% MoM. YTD output was 77,180mt, up 18.44% YoY. Jinchuan Group was still operating at full capaicty, so the growth in output was mainly attributed to restart of idled capacity at other facilities.
