






SHANGHAI, Sept. 25 (SMM) --
Zinc Concentrate:
According to CNIA, China's output of zinc concentrate was 269kt during August, up 1.96% MoM, with YTD output of 1.72 million mt, down 14.3% YoY. Zinc concentrate output has experienced declines on a yearly basis since June, and a YoY decline of 15.4% in July. China's output of zinc concentrate is expected to continue to grow during September.
Refined Zinc:
According to CNIA, China's output of zinc ingot was 405kt during August, up 7.7% MoM, with YTD output of 2.69 million mt, up 3.9% YoY. The growth in zinc output during August was attributed to operations at several new projects, including new zinc capacity of 80kt/yr at Zhongjin Lingnan Shaoguan Smelter, 100kt/yr at Inner Mongolia Xing'an Copper and Zinc Smelter, and 100kt/yr at Zhuzhou Smelter.
