Platinum futures stop falling and rebound; spot market premiums stable with normal trading [SMM daily review]

Platinum futures stopped falling and rebounded today. With the US Fed's interest rate meeting approaching, there was little macro news, and attention was on the signal release from tonight's meeting. In morning trading, the most-traded GFEX platinum contract PT2612 closed at 375.25 yuan/g, up 1.74%. The price spread between the best ask price for SGE Pt9995 and the GFEX PT2612 contract narrowed to around 3 yuan/g.

In the spot market, futures rebounded from oversold levels, supplier quotations changed little, downstream purchasing sentiment pulled back somewhat, and resistance to transactions for some cargoes priced away from mainstream quotations increased. Trader mainstream quotations were around a premium of 1 yuan/g over PT2612. Overall, the platinum spot market saw stable premiums and normal trading volumes today.
