【New FCC Rule Takes Effect October 13: Drones with DJI, Autel Logic Components No Longer Eligible for New Certification】The US Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) Third Report and Order (FCC 26-50) will take effect on October 13, 2026. After this date, drones designed and assembled in the US but containing logic-related hardware components made by DJI or Autel will no longer receive new FCC equipment authorization. Restricted components include flight controllers, RF modules, camera boards, and gimbal controllers; pending applications already submitted are not affected. DJI and Autel were added to the FCC's "Covered List" in December 2025.
