[SMM Analysis] From Scrap Exports to Recycled Aluminum Products: How Could EU Waste Rules Reshape Trade?
EU aluminum scrap policy is shifting from export duties toward WSR-based environmental controls. Tighter rules could retain more scrap in Europe, but absorption will depend on feedstock compatibility, processing capacity and demand.
