[JFE Steel Starts Japan’s First Large-Scale Stamp-Charged Coke Oven]

JFE Steel has commenced operations at its No. 6-A coke oven battery in Fukuyama. The 52-oven facility has an annual production capacity of 420,000 tonnes and represents an investment of approximately 282 million USD. It is Japan’s first large-scale coke oven using stamp-charging technology, which is expected to improve coke quality and production efficiency while reducing operating costs and environmental impact.
