Futures: The aluminum alloy 2610 contract opened at 23,340 yuan/mt today, pulled back to intraday support at 23,245 yuan/mt before bulls pushed prices higher, shot up to 23,485 yuan/mt, and closed the morning session at 23,465 yuan/mt, up 0.69%. The contract traded above the average price line throughout the session, with buying sentiment recovering. Trading volume was released, while open interest pulled back slightly, indicating a repair-driven rally on reduced positions.
Spot: ADC12 market quotes held up well overall today. The SMM ADC12 price rose 50 yuan/mt from the previous trading day to 24,100 yuan/mt. Driven by higher aluminum prices and rising aluminum scrap raw material costs, cost support strengthened further. On the demand side, entering the traditional peak season, end-user orders improved from earlier levels, but the overall recovery remained limited, and market purchases have yet to show significant volume expansion. Some enterprises, having already adjusted prices the previous day, stayed on the sidelines today, and the market remained cautious about further price increases. Overall, the current rise in ADC12 prices is mainly driven by the cost side, with demand improvement providing some support, but sustained upward momentum has not yet formed. In the short term, the market still needs to monitor cost changes and the pace of end-use demand recovery.
