Futures market: Today, the aluminum alloy 2610 contract opened at 23,235 yuan/mt. After a slight shot up in early trading, upward momentum was lacking, and prices consolidated and pulled back. By midday, the high was 23,300 yuan/mt, the low 23,030 yuan/mt, and it closed at 23,200 yuan/mt at midday, down 0.09%. On the 4-hour chart, a small bearish candlestick formed, rebound momentum weakened, and the short-term tug-of-war between longs and shorts remained in stalemate, with the market maintaining a sideways consolidation pattern.
Spot market: Today, ADC12 market quotations remained stable overall. The SMM ADC12 price was steady at 23,950 yuan/mt, unchanged from the previous trading day. Aluminum prices and futures saw limited fluctuations, and cost support and demand-side performance showed no significant changes. Enterprises were less willing to adjust prices, and most producers chose to hold prices steady and wait and see. End-use demand remained in a relatively weak state, and downstream procurement was mainly need-based. Overall market transactions saw limited improvement. Meanwhile, raw material costs such as aluminum scrap stayed at a relatively high level, providing some support for ADC12 prices. In the absence of significant changes in both supply and demand, ADC12 prices are expected to continue moving sideways in a narrow range in the short term. Market focus remained on further aluminum price fluctuations and whether end-use demand would see marginal improvement later.
Import side, overseas ADC12 quotations stood at $3,050-3,190/mt, and the immediate import loss was small at around 900 yuan/mt.
