[SMM Tungsten Express] The US will ban exports of tungsten scrap and recycled battery materials from later this month, with the restriction lasting one year. Under a rule published in the Federal Register, tungsten scrap and lithium-ion battery recycling "black mass" will be required to be sold domestically, with companies eligible to apply for exemptions. The measure is implemented under the Defense Production Act to strengthen domestic supply chains and reduce foreign dependence.
