[Multiple localities issue new property market policies, building momentum for the “September-October peak season”] Recently, local governments have intensively introduced real estate-related policies, with cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, and Xi’an all releasing favorable policy signals before September.
“By adjusting home purchase restrictions and loan down payment ratios, various localities have further unleashed the potential for home buying. At the same time, by raising the maximum amounts for housing provident fund loans, they have lowered the threshold for purchasing a home, and through various subsidies, including interest subsidies on housing provident fund loans and trade-in subsidies for selling an old home to buy a new one, they have reduced the cost of buying a home,” said Li Yujia, chief researcher at the Guangdong Provincial Housing Policy Research Center. From the perspective of the pace of policy rollouts, after Beijing and Shanghai successively introduced policies, Chengdu, Xi’an, and other cities followed suit, creating a relay effect of coordination and continued follow-up between first- and second-tier cities, sending a positive signal to the market that “there is still room for policy,” thereby boosting market confidence and expectations. The timing of these policy releases was precise, building momentum for the traditional September-October peak season in the property market.
