Authorities in Vietnam's Ha Tinh Province have approved the detailed development plan for the VinMetal Ha Tinh project, laying the groundwork for future construction permits and infrastructure development. With a total investment of VND79.99 trillion (US$3.1 billion), the project is designed as an integrated steel complex featuring coke production, ironmaking, steelmaking, and hot rolling facilities.
The project is expected to generate additional coking coal demand once construction is completed and operations commence. However, the project remains at an early development stage, and the pace of construction and commissioning will determine when demand materializes.
