[SMM Flash News] Kaishan and Halliburton Partner on Geothermal and Low-Carbon Energy Projects

Kaishan Group has signed a strategic cooperation memorandum with Halliburton Energy Services to jointly explore geothermal and low-carbon energy projects. The agreement, effective from June 24, 2026 to June 23, 2028, combines Halliburton's drilling and subsurface engineering expertise with Kaishan's geothermal development capabilities and modular power generation technologies. The initial collaboration will focus on enhanced geothermal systems (EGS), which use engineered wells and underground stimulation technologies to access geothermal resources in areas without naturally productive reservoirs.
