[Japan Issues Affirmative Preliminary Anti-Dumping Ruling on Hot-Dipped Galvanized Steel Strips and Sheets from China]

According to China Trade Remedies Information, on July 24, Japan’s Ministry of Finance announced an affirmative preliminary anti-dumping ruling on hot-dipped galvanized steel strips and sheets originating in China and South Korea, determining that the subject products were dumped and that such dumping caused injury to the relevant domestic industry in Japan. The dumping margins are as follows: Angang Steel Company Limited and producers/exporters that participated in the investigation but were not selected for sampling from China — 63.95%; Hunan Valin Lianyuan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. and other Chinese producers/exporters — 68.67%; South Korean company POSCO Co., Ltd. — 32.49%; KG Donghu Steel Co., Ltd. — 42.69%; other sampled South Korean producers — 34.22%; and other South Korean producers/exporters — 42.69%.
