This week (7.1-7.16), the operating rate of enamelled wire machines pulled back by 2.4 percentage points MoM to 75.47%, while weekly order intake edged down 1.86% MoM. The industry's performance aligned with the off-season pullback pattern. Demand in the end-user home appliance sector remained sluggish, and two-wheeler orders also declined. Rigid demand lacked growth support, downstream procurement pace slowed broadly, and industry finished product inventories rose to 9.34 days, slightly intensifying inventory pressure. Overall, constrained by the off-season, demand lacked recovery momentum, prompting enterprises to proactively lower production schedules to control risk. SMM expects the operating rate of enamelled wire machines to edge down to 75.00% next week.
