Indonesia has agreed to move forward with cross-border electricity exports to Singapore following a meeting between President Prabowo Subianto and Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. State investment agency Danantara has been appointed to implement the project, which includes cooperation in power trade, energy, digital economy, and cybersecurity. The project is expected to develop up to 3.4 GW of generation capacity in phases, with an initial 600 MW–1.2 GW to be built by Singapore's Keppel Ltd and Sembcorp in Batam, Bintan, and Karimun. Indonesia's Energy Ministry said negotiations on electricity pricing are still ongoing.
