Yunnan Luoping Zinc & Electricity Sells Germanium Concentrate via Bidding, Tender Successfully Closed

According to official information from Luoping Zinc & Electricity as learned by SMM, in light of production and operational arrangements, Yunnan Luoping Zinc & Electricity Co., Ltd. will sell germanium concentrate produced at its zinc smelter in June via competitive bidding.

Bidding quantities are measured in kilograms, with a minimum bid volume of 300 kilograms.

Bids must be submitted before 10:00 a.m. on June 11, 2026.

Market sources indicate the tender has now been successfully closed with transactions finalized.

According to the latest release from the General Administration of Customs, SMM statistics show that China's total manganese ore imports reached 3.0167 million tons​ in June 2026, up 10.59%​ month-on-month and 12.41%​ year-on-year. The total imports for January–June 2026 were approximately 17.4912 million tons, an increase of 3.0319 million tons​ (up 20.97%) compared with the same period in 2025 (approximately 14.4593 million tons).

According to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs and compiled by SMM, China's SiMn exports in June 2026 stood at 367.39 mt, down 94.06% MoM and down 68.10% YoY. Total SiMn exports in January-June reached 21,616.28 mt, up 53.65% YoY. The sharp drop in SiMn exports in June was mainly due to three overlapping factors: ensuring domestic supply, weak overseas demand, and holding back from selling amid losses.
