[SMM Aluminum Flash News] Estrella Damm Launches Limited-Edition Aluminum Can Series for 150th Anniversary

Estrella Damm has partnered with Crown to launch a limited-edition range of seven 440ml aluminum cans as part of its 150th anniversary celebrations in 2026. Inspired by Barcelona, the brand’s birthplace, the recyclable aluminum cans feature designs highlighting landmarks, culture and lifestyle elements associated with the city. The packaging was produced using Crown’s Accents Color technology at its Peterborough facility, enabling multiple can designs to be manufactured within the same high-speed production run. Crown said the process ensured consistent color quality and print performance across all designs. The anniversary can series will be launched in the UK market ahead of the summer season as part of Estrella Damm’s year-long celebration programme.

Today, trading sentiment in the central China market was mediocre. Monday happened to be the first day for cargoes with invoices dated next month. German Business Groups Criticize US Tariff Uncertainty, Call for WTO-Compliant Policies

On July 24 local time, in response to the latest US tariff measures, the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the German Wholesale and Foreign Trade Association each issued statements, criticizing the frequent changes in US tariff policies, which create greater uncertainty for enterprise operations and investment. Treier Volker, director of foreign trade at the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry, pointed out that the US is attempting to revive tariff measures previously blocked by courts on new legal grounds. Such constant policy shifts not only increase the administrative burden on enterprises, but also heighten legal risks, making it difficult for enterprises to operate in a stable and predictable environment. He stressed that US tariff measures that violate WTO rules must be abolished entirely, especially the additional tariffs still in effect on steel and aluminum products.
