[SMM Flash News] NextEnergy Capital Raises $974 Million at Final Close for NextPower V Solar and Storage Fund

UK-based renewable energy investor NextEnergy Capital has achieved a final close of $974 million (EUR 837.1 million) for its NextPower V international investment strategy, including co-investment commitments. The fund focuses on contracted solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage infrastructure projects across OECD markets, targeting a total portfolio of around 1 GW. To date, NextPower V has deployed capital into a 550 MW portfolio across 127 assets and eight transactions, with approximately 83% of the portfolio currently operational, 13% under construction, and 60% of the capacity already contracted.
