Toyota's Global Sales Fall for Third Month, Middle East Exports Drop 91% YoY

Toyota's data showed that global sales in April fell 3.1% YoY to 849,300 units, declining YoY for the third consecutive month. Global production was up 2.0% YoY to 832,000 units, increasing for the second consecutive month and hitting a record high for the month. Toyota's exports from Japan to the Middle East in April totaled 2,418 units, down 91.7% YoY. Exports to the Middle East declined for the second consecutive month, with the drop widening from 46.4% in March.
