【Jiangxi’s 60,000-ton Lithium Hexafluorophosphate Project Announced】
On March 6th, the record-filing for a 60,000-ton-per-year lithium hexafluorophosphate project was announced by a company in Yichang, Hubei. The project covers an area of 244 mu and involves the construction of synthesis workshops, electrolyte workshops, purification workshops, cleaning workshops, and supporting auxiliary production facilities. It will establish one production unit for lithium hexafluorophosphate (solid salt) and one for electrolyte, along with acid-alkali tank farms and electrolyte storage tanks. Upon completion, the project will achieve an annual output of 60,000 tons of lithium hexafluorophosphate and 200,000 tons of electrolyte.
【Hunan’s 100,000-ton Waste Battery Dismantling Project Passes Environmental Acceptance】
Recently, the Engineering Construction Acceptance Publicity Website published the environmental acceptance notice for the "100,000-ton-per-year Spent Lithium Battery Recycling and Dismantling and 20,000-ton-per-year Spent Iron Lithium Powder Recovery Comprehensive Utilization Project" undertaken by a company in Tianjin, Hunan. This milestone indicates the project is about to enter the production phase.
【Hunan’s 50,000-ton Spent Lithium Battery Project Established】
Recently, the Engineering Construction Acceptance Publicity Website released the first public notice for the environmental impact assessment of the New Energy Spent Lithium Battery Processing and Utilization Project, undertaken by a new material technology company in Hunan. The project will lease existing factory buildings in the Shigaitang area of the Chenzhou Economic Development Zone in Hunan to build a production line capable of recycling 50,000 tons of spent power lithium batteries annually. Covering approximately 4,163 square meters, the project will lease two production workshops and construct two spent lithium battery dismantling and recycling lines, leveraging the lithium ore resources in Chenzhou.
【A 100,000-ton Lithium Battery Material Recycling Project Lands in Guangdong】
Recently, a new energy technology company in Guangdong officially released the first public notice for the environmental impact assessment of its "100,000-ton-per-year Lithium Battery Material Recycling Construction Project." This project will build 10 production lines for the recycling and utilization of spent lithium batteries. The main raw materials will be externally sourced spent lithium iron phosphate and ternary power lithium batteries. Upon completion, the project is expected to produce 7,500 tons of copper powder, 7,500 tons of aluminum powder, 42,000 tons of battery powder, 500 tons of PP, 2,000 tons of iron, and 5 tons of nickel sheets annually.
【Lanzhou’s 200,000-ton Lithium Iron Phosphate Project Officially Commences Production】
On March 2nd, information from the Lanzhou Bureau of Industry and Information Technology revealed that a new material company in Gansu recently held a commissioning ceremony in Lanzhou New Area for the first phase of its 100,000-ton-per-year lithium phosphate-based cathode material production line construction project. It is reported that the project covers a total area of 363 mu with a total investment of 3.135 billion yuan. The project is being built in two phases, each with a capacity of 100,000 tons. The first phase, a 100,000-ton-per-year lithium iron phosphate production line, commenced construction in April 2024 and has now officially started production after over a year of construction. The second phase, another 100,000-ton-per-year lithium iron phosphate production line, is planned to start construction in March 2026.
【Multiple Projects Including PPVE and Trifluoroacetyl Fluoride Deep Processing Announced in Shandong】
On March 23rd, a new material company in Shandong initiated the first public participation notice for the environmental impact assessment of its 500-ton-per-year PPVE project (technical transformation). On March 19th, a public notice for the draft environmental impact assessment was released for its trifluoroacetyl fluoride deep processing pilot project. The project’s main components include the construction of one set of trifluoroacetyl fluoride deep processing pilot equipment, comprising one pilot production line for ethyl trifluoroacetate and one for carbonyl fluoride. The pilot scale is 500 tons per year for ethyl trifluoroacetate and 500 tons per year for carbonyl fluoride, with a maximum pilot period of two years.
