Fujian's First Hydrogen Bus Demonstration Route, Xiamen Route 736, Launches, Marking a Key Step in Hydrogen Energy Transportation Applications

Recently, the opening of Xiamen's 736 bus route, the first hydrogen-powered bus demonstration line in Fujian, marks a breakthrough in the application of hydrogen energy transportation within the province. The vehicles, jointly developed by New Hydrogen Energy and Xiamen King Long, feature core fuel cell systems from New Hydrogen Energy, highlighting the robust hydrogen technology capabilities of domestic enterprises.

As the pioneering project for hydrogen buses in Fujian, this route integrates the strengths of the industry chain, setting a benchmark for "technology + manufacturing" collaboration. The partnership has created a replicable application model, providing a template for the large-scale implementation of hydrogen buses.

Policies at the province and city levels empower the industry, with the medium and long-term plan for hydrogen energy in Fujian and the action plan for hydrogen development in Xiamen both to be released in 2025, outlining clear layouts and roadmaps, and building a high-quality ecosystem that offers development opportunities for enterprises.

The Jiageng Innovation Laboratory provides technical support, focusing on 21 key hydrogen technologies, incubating high-tech enterprises, and establishing an "R&D-industrialisation" innovation chain, thereby strengthening the foundation for industrial development.

Taking this demonstration as an opportunity, New Hydrogen Energy plans to deepen its presence in Fujian, expand into multiple scenarios of hydrogen applications, enhance R&D to improve product competitiveness, and contribute to making Fujian a hub for the hydrogen industry, supporting green transformation.
