China Huadian Fujian Company Holds Promotion Meeting for Off-Grid Seawater Hydrogen Production Project, Anchoring New Quality Productive Forces to Deepen Hydrogen Energy Innovation

On January 10, Huadian Fujian Company convened a promotion meeting for the off-grid seawater hydrogen production technology demonstration project, clarifying the direction and key measures for advancement, focusing on overcoming technical challenges, and promoting the high-quality development of the hydrogen energy industry. Company Party Committee Secretary Lin Wenbiao and General Manager Yu Lifeng attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Relevant responsible persons from Huadian Engineering and Shenzhen Hydrogen Energy participated in the meeting.

The meeting emphasized that hydrogen energy has broad application prospects and is a key lever for cultivating new quality productive forces and achieving technological self-reliance and strength. Off-grid seawater hydrogen production can absorb new energy electricity and overcome the bottleneck of freshwater dependency, which is significant for building a new-type energy system. The company will use this to solidify the foundation of its hydrogen energy strategic layout.

The meeting deployed four key tasks: first, innovation-driven, closely adhering to the central state-owned enterprise's "three roles," tackling core seawater hydrogen production technologies, and arranging intellectual property to enhance the project's scientific and demonstration value; second, strictly maintaining the safety bottom line, implementing full life cycle management, and strengthening prevention and control targeting characteristics such as equipment corrosion; third, strictly adhering to compliance standards, integrating compliance throughout the entire process to ensure the project progresses normatively; fourth, deepening collaboration, improving the "industry-university-research-application" mechanism, and coordinating resources from all parties to consolidate efforts for tackling challenges.

During the meeting, each cooperative partner reported on work progress. The meeting coordinated to resolve existing issues and clarified follow-up ideas. Responsible persons from the relevant departments and units of the three parties attended the meeting.
