Recently, the "Songyuan Wind and Solar Power Hydrogen Ammonia Integration Technology Innovation Center" established by CECEP Green Hydrogen Ammonia New Energy (Songyuan) Co., Ltd. was officially approved and recognized by the Songyuan Science and Technology Bureau, and received a special municipal support fund of 50,000 yuan. This approval marks a critical step for the company in technological R&D and industrial layout within the field of wind and solar power hydrogen ammonia integration.
As the entity responsible for China Energy Engineering Group's (CECEP) largest global green hydrogen ammonia alcohol integrated project, this municipal technology innovation center will leverage Songyuan's abundant wind and solar resources to focus on breakthroughs in core technologies such as green hydrogen production and hydrogen/ammonia storage and transportation, as well as their industrialisation. The center will establish a collaborative "industry-university-research-application" innovation platform, uniting various stakeholders to accelerate technology implementation and provide support for the Songyuan Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park project.
The company will utilize the special support funds appropriately, increasing investment in R&D and talent to enhance its core competitiveness. The center will collaborate with the already approved provincial-level technology innovation platform to build an innovation system characterized by "provincial-level guidance and municipal-level implementation," laying a solid foundation for regional green energy transition and the commercialization of hydrogen energy achievements.
Currently, the first phase of the Songyuan Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park is already operational, having achieved numerous technological results and an annual carbon reduction of 740,000 mt. The approval of this municipal technology innovation center will strengthen the project's technological innovation capabilities and help solve core industry challenges.
Entering the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, Songyuan company will implement the important directives of the General Secretary, relying on the two-level technology innovation centers to advance full-chain technology R&D for wind and solar power hydrogen ammonia, explore demonstration models, create a regional innovation hub, achieve mutual benefits for both the enterprise and regional development, and contribute to the "Hydrogen-Powered Jilin" initiative and the revitalization of Northeast China.
